About Joy of Doing

Rachael received her B.A. in Studio Art and Biology, with a minor in environmental science, from Willamette University. Rachael combines these passions by creating wildlife artwork that inspires its viewers to consider the beauty of the life around us. She enjoys both photography and painting, utilizing her own photographs to inspire her paintings.

Joy of Doing was originally founded by Rachael's parents Tom Allen and Deborah Warren in 1974. At that time, they sold wood carvings created by Tom and quilts sewn by Debbie. The business has changed and evolved over the past 31 years, but the foundation is still the same -- it is about the joy of doing what we love.
